Warm Shake Recipes

START these recipes by microwaving the milk for 1 to 2 minutes.

*Note: When using extracts for shakes, a few drops is usually plenty.  Extracts are concentrated flavor, so use them sparingly.  Remember, you can always add more, but you can’t take any out! Start small, add more if you want more flavor, but very little at a time.

 

Hot Chocolate Shakes

Start with a Hot Chocolate base:

  • 8-10 oz warm milk
  • 2 scoops Vi-Shape Shake Mix
  • 1 Cardio Care Chocolate Flavor Mix-in OR 1 to 2 Tbsp (to taste) unsweetened baking cocoa powder (you can add more to taste

Add the following for flavored Hot Chocolate Shake:

  • Mint Cocoa – 1 or 2 drops Peppermint Extract (this one in particular is VERY strong! If you add too much, it will taste like tooth paste)
  • Coconut Cocoa (surprisingly yummy) – few drops Coconut Extract
  • Chocolate Orange Cream – 1 packet Orange Flavor Mix-In OR few drops orange extract (DO NOT USE JELLO MIX! I tried this and it was not good!)

Cranberry Crisp 

  • 8-10 oz warm milk
  • 2 scoops Vi-Shape Shake Mix
  • ¼ cup Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce (I used Ocean Spray brand for mine) *this did contain high fructose corn syrup, I’m planning on looking to see if there is a more natural option.
  • Few shakes cinnamon (to taste)
  • ¼ cup Instant Oats

Hot Apple Pie

  • 8-10 oz warm milk
  • 2 scoops Vi-Shape Shake Mix
  • ¼ cup Natural Apple Sauce (try to find one with no added sugar or sweeteners)
  • Few shakes cinnamon (to taste)
  • ¼ cup Instant Oats

Candied Almonds ~ Think mall toasted, candied almonds!)

  • 8-10 oz warm milk
  • 2 scoops Vi-Shape Shake Mix
  • Few drops Almond Extracts
  • Small palmful almonds (raw is best)
  • Few shakes cinnamon
  • ¼ cup Instant Oats (optional)

Vanilla Spice Latte

  • 8-10 oz warm milk
  • 2 scoops Vi-Shape Shake Mix
  • ¼ tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2-4 shakes Pumpkin Pie Spice OR combination of cinnamon, ginger, ground cloves & nutmeg
  • (easy on the nutmeg)

Coffee

  • 8-10 oz warm milk
  • 2 scoops Vi-Shape Shake Mix
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp Instant Coffee (regular or decaf)
  • *You can add baking cocoa to this for a Cafe Mocha too!

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Vi-Shake

  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Tbl Honey
  • 1/4 sliced almonds
  • 2 scoops of Vi-Shake and
  • 8 oz Vanilla Almond milk
  • Blend with Ice or MIX and heat in microwave for 2 minutes
